Commercial Rooftop Plant

Long An Cold Storage

SMA has collaborated with Indo Energy Corporation (IEC) to establish a 1.6 MWp rooftop solar plant on the Long An Cold Storage facility in South Vietnam. This initiative, utilizing SMA's German technology in solar inverters and IEC's expertise, transforms one of Asia's largest cold storage warehouses into a green facility, reducing reliance on fossil fuels.

The Long An facility, known as Vietnam's most modern cold storage warehouse, boasts automated features and an 18-storey shelf design, accommodating 40,000 pallets. The 1.6 MWp rooftop solar plant aligns with Vietnam's Renewable Energy and Green Logistic policy. Indo Energy Corporation, a member of the Indochina Group, specializes in rooftop projects and has successfully implemented 33.6 MW, with an additional 50 MW underway in Vietnam.

SMA's Sunny Highpower SHP100-20-PEAK-3 inverters, known for their reliability and compact design, contribute to the project's success. The system, with 2580 MWh units generated annually, helps the Long An cold storage facility cut electricity expenses and reduce dependence on fossil fuels. The collaboration signals a commitment to sustainability and opens possibilities for future successful ventures.
